STAR WARS THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980)

A rare original pin badge button distributed by actors in original Stormtrooper costumes as part of the promotion of the original release of the film in London.

The badge features the Ralph McQuarrie designed emblem with the text 'Happy Empire Day'.The London premiere was held on May 20, 1980 at the Odeon Leicester Square.

Numerous Stormtroopers and other characters in original costume promoted the event and the surrounding streets were decorated with 'Happy Empire Day' posters. Badges such as these were distributed to promote the film around the West End of London.Exhibits slight wear otherwise in very good condition.
