David Jason Signature Tailcoat
A tailcoat made for David Jason in his starring role as 'Micawber' in the John Sullivan television series adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens character creation.
Such a tailcoat can be seen worn by the character throughout the series and can easily be regarded as his signature costume.
The tailcoat is intentionally production distressed to exhibit wear to include some areas of discolouring and fraying. Such detail can be matched on screen, right down to the missing front button. Retains the original internal 'Angels' costumier label, which details both the actor and production date.
A wonderful and important signature costume from the highly successful career of the beloved British comedic actor, in one of his most acclaimed roles.
