I, CLAUDIUS

A rare group of three different original production Scripts for what was to be eventually realised as the landmark 1976 BBC Television Mini-Series starring Derek Jacobi and John Hurt.

The first Script, dated December 1968, a Working Script, has 88 pages whilst the second, dated December 1970 has 99 pages and finally the third in the group, dated January 1971 has 78 pages.It is understood production was delayed because of complex negotiations between the BBC and the copyright holders of Alexander Korda's aborted 1937 film version.

The front covers of the Scripts exhibit slight edge wear but are in overall very good presentable condition.
