FLASH GORDON (1980)

A pair of Sandals made for the 1980 science fiction cult classic, starring Sam Jones in the lead role as Flash Gordon. The Sandals are decorated with bright red sequins, in keeping with the very distinctive lavish colours of the film. The Sandals are believed to have been made for use by the various characters in the featured Mongo large group scenes, such as Emperor Ming's reception ceremony. An original hand written name tag of 'R. Whitworth' is still present. Flash Gordon pieces become increasingly difficult to source and wardrobe from the film seldom surfaces on the collectors market.
