From the 1980 science fiction cult classic, starring Sam Jones in the lead role as Flash Gordon, comes this incredible costume worn by one of Mongo's inhabitants.
The Costume was made for the suitably lavish and extravagant planet Mongo Emperor Ming reception scenes.
Highly distinctive and indicative in colour and style of the whole film. The three piece costume comprises of a large jacket with corresponding matching trousers and a corresponding hood. Both the Jacket and trousers are beautifully intricately detailed to include fibreglass shoulder armour to the shoulders of the jacket, embellished jewelled detailing, embroidered braiding, etc.
It is incredibly difficult to find such a Flash Gordon production costume in as complete and excellent a condition as this one.
A truly stunning and rare example of the exemplary costume design of this cult classic movie.
