From the 1982 classic Agatha Christie movie, starring Peter Ustinov in the lead role as 'Hercule Poirot', comes this stunning evening/cocktail dress worn by co-star Sylvia Miles as 'Myra Gardener'.
The dress can be clearly seen worn by the character during the evening cocktail party reception at the hotel.
The halter neck dress with fish tail bias cut is exquisitely encrusted with a multitude of hand applied black and white sequins. The renowned Anthony Powell was Costume Designer on the film and interestingly he was subsequently also Costume Designer on Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom where the character 'Willie Scott' wears a similarly constructed dress in the opening sequence.
Exhibits very minor sequin loss otherwise in excellent condition.A visually striking piece from one of the beloved classic Agatha Christie movies starring Peter Ustinov as Poirot.
