FLASH GORDONMongo Citizen Helmet

From the 1980 science fiction cult classic movie, starring Sam Jones in the title role as Flash Gordon, comes this rare helmet worn by one of the citizens of Mongo. The style of Helmet can be be seen during the final celebration scenes and is believed likely unique, certainly it is the only such example of Helmet used to have ever surfaced. Constructed of a fibreglass material with hand applied detailing and foam pads to the interior. The helmet has the heavy loss of paint/gilding which is typically associated with surviving props from the film. The production process used was clearly not intended to last long term. Flash Gordon pieces increasingly become difficult to source and wardrobe from the film has seldom surfaced on the collectors market.
