DOCTOR WHOThe Masque Of The Mandragora

Propmasters are proud to be able to offer this visually stunning full Lion head mask from the 1976 story 'The Masque of The Mandragora'.The mask is instantly recognisable as the one Doctor Who (Tom Baker) wears in the story and also posed with in noted period BBC publicity images.The very large mask is constructed of an unusual paper mache type material with foam teeth and applied woven mane detailing.When released by the BBC the mask exhibited unfortunate signs of it's age and long term neglect. In order to preserve and restore the piece Propmasters employed the world's most foremost specialists, Tom Spina Designs, who very successfully brought the piece back to it's former glory.Presented on a unique bespoke made Tardis themed display base it makes an overall highly impressive display and an important slice of Doctor Who history.
