FLASH GORDON (1980)Dwarf Minion Costume

From the 1980 science fiction cult classic, starring Sam Jones in the lead role as Flash Gordon, comes this visually very impressive costume worn by one of the dwarf minions. The costume can be clearly seen during the suitably lavish and extravagant Emperor Ming and Dale Arden wedding ceremony sequences. Highly distinctive and indicative in colour and style of the whole film, the costume is beautifully made with incredible intrinsic detailing to the front and back and fibre glass armour piece decorations to each shoulder. The costume exhibits general and expected wear due to production use and age but is in overall very good condition.This large costume makes an outstanding display piece which would be the centrepiece of any collection. Flash Gordon pieces become increasingly difficult to source and wardrobe from the film has seldom ever surfaced on the collectors market.(please note, for the purposes of the photography a suitably long highly stiffened length of curved card was carefully inserted, but not fixed/attached, across the whole length of the inside of the costume to support the frame of the shoulders to give it it's intended square appearance)
